A trunk interface is an interface that has more than one VLAN on it. I am assuming that you have more than one switch between your workstation and the PDU's. How would I check on NAT'd subnets? The switch basically takes on a virtual interface for each default gateway and passes the packets from 1 subnet to another. Ok I'm not a network expert - I need a little more help to figure out how to "ensure that the vlan is trunked back to your switch" can i look on the switch for vlan configs for other vlans and then compare to the 803 vlan? sorry for the noob question. Ip address 10.80.1.11 255.255.255.0 secondaryĭidn't see an MTU config on the PDU's config website - pretty sure everything defaults to 1500 MTU. Routing is done at the switch level cisco 3750 config is: I hope someone out there has had some experience with this and can offer some advice to troubleshoot this problem or a solution would be nice! Anyone anyone.? The cisco switches had "spanning-tree portfast" on the port interfaces for all 11 PDUs. We have isolated our network management devices to one subnet (803) and we have our workstations on a separate subnet (810) finally all corporate servers are on the (802) subnet - these designations are keyed off the 2nd and 3rd octets of the IP addresses. I thought it was network related - because when I go back to the server and use a cross-over cable I can immediately pull the website back up and view no problem, but over the network it only last for 5 mins or so after the webcard is rebooted. it loads slowly and I'm not able to change and view different web pages - i.e. sometimes the web page loads without graphics. I go back to my workstation: 10.80.10.124 and now I try to access the same webpage - http:/ Opens a new window / 10.80.3.35 - Sometimes it loads and sometimes it does not load. I access the website from the server where putty is installed: 10.80.2.51 The web page loads up fine with all graphics very fast - I navigate to different parts of the website to set an NTP server IP & provide the SMTP settings for alerts provide dns server IPs 10.80.2.23 & 10.80.2.24. The web card reboots to save IP address changesand then starts webserver Statically set IP address to 10.80.3.35 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 default gateway is 10.80.3.1 inside the putty terminal. I use putty to connect to the PDUMH20ATNET (PDU1) via serial cable next I pop out the snmp webcard (hot swappable) to reboot the web interface. we are a small staff in a very busy environment so when I get a minute I work on this problem.Ĭonnecting to PDU via a server running server 2008 R2 / i.e. I have spent days working on this problem and called Tripp lite about a year ago to flash the firmware to one of the PDUMH20ATNET. We've had these PDUs up and running for almost 2 years and I've never successfully had them functioning. Ok I have 6 PDUMH20ATNET PDUs and 5 PDUMNV30 PDUs.
